Thanks for Giving for Cambodia Flood Relief
Unrelenting heavy rains in October 2000 destroyed the houses and fields of many villagers. As soon as the call went out, we began to receive enthusiastic donations from brothers and sisters in Hong Kong and US for purchasing rice, protein and medicines for the villagers who were in desperate need. These villagers are deeply grateful for your assistance. May God richly bless in everything.
The church is doing everything possible to help the church members to rebuild their houses and living. The short-term missions team in November donated some money for the House of Love to buy fish fingerlings so that there will be fish to eat next year. We are hoping that by God's grace the local residents can quickly rebuild their houses and farms.

Thank you to the Hong Kong brothers and sisters whose donations enabled the Cambodia office to purchase a new computer, printer and copy machine. |

Thank God also for the American brothers and sisters whose donations bought a motorcycle for Rev. Margin to use in visiting the villages. |
Pol (Paula) came back from her vacation to spend the New Year in Cambodia
Pol wrote : "After I checked my luggage at the counter in the airport in Hong Kong, I had breakfast using the coupon the airline had given. According to my ticket, my flight would leave Hong Kong at 8:00 a.m. but I learned from the counter that my flight wouldn't leave until 4:00 p.m. Many people met me at the Pochentong airport in Cambodia. I didn't expect that many people would come and meet me. They said they missed me. It was good to see Joel, Grace and Rebecca again. I realized that I missed the people here too. Well, I'm back and I'm happily re-entering Cambodia. I feel very much at home here, although I still miss my home in the Philippines.
Work team from US
A team of 7 brothers and sisters from the Wentachee Free Methodist Church, Washington, USA, came January 9-18. They did prayer walks, taught English in the House of Love, taught the children handwork, and built a kitchen. This kitchen can also used as the dining hall, and for Sunday School or small group meetings.
Work Team report
New Bible study group
A Bible study group was started by a layman, who is now working with World Relief. He wants to turn this work over to us. They contacted Brother Joshua Kung Ty and invited us to help. We will most likely start helping this group in February.
A new home
Pastor Joel and Grace Margin moved in January to a new apartment on the 1st floor in a building near the market. They used to live in the Mission House and they had to go up to the 4th floor. The doctor advised Pastor Joel not to go up so many stairs and also try to lose some weight because of his back pain. Joel has lost a lot of weight ! He is very determined to keep himself disciplined in losing weight. They enjoy their new apartment. Moreover, there is another missionary couple from the Philippines living across the street.
Bible school students
Brother Joshua Kung Ty and Daniel Bong Sar began their studies in the Phnom Penh Bible School. They are doing well but the schoolwork is heavy. Joshua finds it heavier because he has his own family to care for. In the week days he is staying in the Mission House because it is close to the Bible school. He goes back home on weekends and also takes care of the church work in Gor Sachaliah East. Please pray for him.
Visitors
Dr. & Mrs. Arthur Brown, the General Director of Free Methodist World Missions in North America, and Rev. & Mrs. David Yardy, the Asia Area Director, will come for a visit January 19-22.
