God is the God of widows and children.  He is merciful and kind to all those in need. Praise the Lord that He has granted us a third children's center, namely House of Peace in Treuyslaa.  It is a joint venture between APFMMA and the Hong Kong Alliance Mission agency starting from August 2005.  Our missionary, Miu Ling Lee, is the Childcare Ministries coordinator who is responsible for all three children's centers in Cambodia.  The Alliance Mission agency missionary, Ms. Joyce Chan, is the supervisor of the House of Peace, and she works with the center-in-charge, Pastor Samuel Sar, to take care all the business of the center.  There are 50 children admitted into the sponsorship scheme so far, and their sponsors mainly come from the Alliance churches in Hong Kong. So, with our two other children's centers, House of Love and House of Joy, we now have more than 250 children under our program.

Besides the physical needs of the children, we want to build up their lives with God's truth and love through His Word and our deeds. The children are required to attend church and Sunday school. We also provide some tutorial classes, English classes, outdoor activities and the like, in order to enrich their growth.  When the medical mission teams come, they will help in checking the children's health and educating them about personal hygiene.

It is a long and winding process to serve the children because of many limitations such as the culture, religion, our limited resources, and their families' situations. However, God loves all the children in the world, no matter what are their skin color, language and background.

Thank the Lord, we will have a new missionary from Hong Kong , Ms Christina Leung, who will serve in the Childcare ministries starting in January 2007.  May God use His maid to bless the children.

Prayer points:

1. For the centers-in-charge of the 3 centers: House of Love - Sopheap (Pastor Kung Ty's wife); House of Joy - Brother Gideon; and House of Peace - Samuel Sar; may they have God's love and wisdom to manage the centers
2. That the missionaries, Miu Ling, Rebecca, Joyce and Christina will have the strength and wisdom to train and work with the local brothers and sisters
3. For the healthy growth of the children under our program
4. For opportunities to proclaim the gospel to their parents and relatives
5. For plans to develop some self help programs to improve their standard of living
6. That more sponsors will join the scheme
