Many young people come to Phnom Penh to look for jobs and all sorts of career trainings. The population of this city is growing rapidly. This is a great opportunity for outreach. Currently, we rented a house in Phnom Penh for use as a temporary base. In the long run, we will need a permanent ministry center. The ministry center under contemplation will provide the following strategic ministries:
-
A Bible training center for Christians from the villages.
-
A hostel for university students. It is highly competitive to enter the university in Cambodia and the cost of living is high. Many lesser rich students have to stay in Buddhist temples and are required to join the monks in their meditation hours. A Christian hostel will certainly provide an option. Bible teachings are vital to build up good future leaders for the country as well as the church.
-
A community center providing activities for various age groups.
Besides, the ministry center will also function as a church, a guest house, the mission office and the childcare ministries headquarter. |
