Our Vision

Many young people come to Phnom Penh to look for jobs and all sorts of career trainings. The population of this city is growing rapidly. This is a great opportunity for outreach. Currently, we rented a house in Phnom Penh for use as a temporary base. In the long run, we will need a permanent ministry center. The ministry center under contemplation will provide the following strategic ministries:

• A Bible training center for Christians from the villages. 

• A hostel for university students. It is highly competitive to enter the university in Cambodia and the cost of living is high. Many lesser rich students have to stay in Buddhist temples and are required to join the monks in their meditation hours. A Christian hostel will certainly provide an option. Bible teachings are vital to build up good future leaders for the country as well as the church.

• A community center providing activities for various age groups.

Besides, the ministry center will also function as a church, a guest house, the mission office and the childcare ministries headquarter.

Opportunities Ahead

We have been looking for opportunity in Phnom Penh for some time to realize our plan. Land price has gone up more than double during these years. Although we have some cash in hand, we are still in need of support for this grand project (mortgage is not an option in Cambodia). We also need resources and volunteers to help in the construction of the buildings. 

Right now we are considering a suitable site for our ministry center:

• Location -- close to the international airport. The area will be the new town center in the future -- New Phnom Penh.

• Area of the land -- about 2 hectares, i.e almost 4 soccer fields or 50 basketball courts. 

• Selling price -- US$109,000. 

As suitable site may not always exist and the price may go up at any time, we need to make a speedy action. Please pray for a wise decision. To make this project possible, your financial support is urgently needed. Please fill out the attached form and send it with your offering.
