The work will be completed next Monday (Jan 16), and I will go to check everything and make the final payment next Thursday (Jan 19). See the attached photos for your reference. We just did the cover and it cost US$14,500. The size is 28m X 28m with a clear height of 4.5m high. The total height is about 11m. The tile used is no. 1 of 'Elephant' brand that will reduce the noise if raining and cut down on the heat. God is merciful to us in that the contractor is okay. I also gave Khmer gospel tracts to him and the workers. They did not do any ritual stuff at our site because I seriously told them the land belongs to the Lord, and they respected this. However, Lim did not have a friendly relationship with them because of a role conflict. The workers always thought that he would report bad things about them to me. But God is good, now that the work is almost finished, their relationship is better. I think the contractor and workers also noticed that we Christians are honest and fair. The contractor even greets me with 'God bless you' when I leave, even though he is not a Christian.

I also asked him to give a quote for the amenities building for my reference.

We will do the flooring later with the rest of the money I requested. Right now we are busy with the Phnom Penh church renovation, preparation of the interviews for new staff, working with Isaac, etc. I think we will proceed after the annual mission district meeting in mid Feb 2006.
