Michele is a member of the Snohomish Free Methodist Church in the state of Washington in the US. Michele has been interested in missions work for some time, and joined a summer missions team to Thailand and Cambodia in 2004. After she returned home, she always took the opportunity to talk with people of other cultures in restaurants and malls, and also shared the gospel with them. Michele felt the calling of God to serve with a purpose in cross cultural missions. Therefore, she stepped out of her comfort zone and applied to VISA.

She arrived Cambodia in July 2005 as VISA worker (Volunteers In Service Abroad) for one year. Her duties include bookkeeping, office management, dorm “aunt” of the female university students, and handling English correspondence.
