God has His time for everything Print E-mail

We always want to have our wants and needs fulfilled as soon as possible, no matter whether they are tangible or non-tangible. The crucial factor is the timing to have our dreams come true. Since I arrived in Cambodia, I have been able to see His schedule rather than ours.

The time for the pickup truck

There have been a couple of times that I have mentioned the need of a car for ministry. Convenience and safety were my prime concern in this need. Previously, I was a bit worried as 10 months had passed. Finally, I suggested to Miu Ling that she could buy hers first and I could drive for her until she got her license. However, God' s provision is much better than mine. Two weeks before the medical team came, I had enough funding to buy a vehicle. We then added the seating and canvas roof in the back just in time to be ready for the medical team to come. On the other hand, my skill in driving and sense of direction were improving, so I could be more confident in taking them to different places. In His time, every need fits.

The time to rain

The medical team served the village in Kampot where people were quite worried about the lack of rain for farming. When the team visited the families and prayed for rain, God really granted a heavy downpour that very night. Moreover, the rain did not affect our traveling as we continued to serve the other areas. On the whole, God provided optimum weather for us. The sun, rain and clouds reveal the power of God. In His time, every season fits.

The time to heal

Two weeks before the medical team came, my legs were sore because of an infection. I also had a fever that made me weak. At that time, I thought it might get worse when I needed to stay in the village with the team, or it might adversely affect my duties. However, God sent His angels to provide professional treatment. It only took 5 days for my legs to recover fully. In His time, every condition fits.

The time to train

We had 10 young people from the local churches to go along with the medical team to help in interpretation. This time, we had more new high school students participate. Even though they might lack experience, it' s a very good opportunity to train potential students rather than adding to the burdens of the previous students, who were busy with university studies. In His time, everyone fits.

God is gracious and trustworthy. In His time, everything fits according to His Will.

Prayer points:

  1. Thank the Lord for His provision of the pick-up truck that I can use for the ministry. May His protection from the messy traffic be with us always
  2. Thank the Lord that the Hong Kong Medical Team had a safe and fruitful trip in Cambodia. May God further work in the team members' hearts that they may serve as missionaries by God' s calling
