Dear brothers and sisters in the Lord,

On November 9, there was a united baptismal service for the Free Methodist churches. I saw more than 40 brothers and sisters baptized who were very joyful and always wearing smiles on their faces. One of the sisters shared her testimony of how God saved her from drugs and despair. People always choose the lovable to love, even our family members, but God is merciful and full of compassion to love whomever is rich or poor, smart or simple, healthy or frail, strong or weak. I can see the heavenly blessings that God has given to those who are willing to put their faith in Him. What other business can bring hope to people as compared with the acceptance and grace of God?

Last week, I booked my ticket to Cambodia , and the day of departure is drawing near. When I started to pack up my stuff, I found many photos that stirred up my thoughts. The lovely faces of my family members, brothers and sisters of the church, co-workers of the FM Conference, friends, and schoolmates brought up wonderful memories of times that we were happy together. Life is so short, but God puts many people into our lives to enrich us, whether through tears or laughter. I may be physically distant from my homeland and pals, but those remarkable remembrances will last forever.

I will have several wonderful opportunities to speak at some FM churches in the remaining weeks. Every time when I prepare my sermon, Gods words remind me that its God work to get things done. Our part is to obey and act as He has told us. However, when I inspect my life, there are still areas which I need God to fix, including the motives of my service, the courage to witness about Him. and an obedient heart to follow His path.

On the other hand, I can experience strength and peace from prayer. I need to thank you for your thoughtful prayers that are important to me. Sometimes when I feel frustrated and confused, I will be assured that many dear brothers and sisters are praying for me. It brings me hope and patience to go ahead. May God reward your kindness with His grace.

Prayer points:

  1. My sisters final chemotherapy treatment in mid November
  2. The packing and arrangement of some family stuff
  3. A healthy spirit and body to handle various work
  4. Preparation of information about Cambodia ministries
  5. Preparation of the Commissioning Service on Dec 14

Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need Hebrew 4:16

Immanuel,
