There's so much I am thankful for this month.... not least is how you've invested prayers in my journey and ministry.

THANKFUL FOR NEW TERRITORY

I have been involved at Kampong Cham for eight months now.  I've experienced many ups and downs along the way.  This sometimes scares me, but God is addressing each fear, even if I haven't always been aware of it.

This past November 16, eleven people were baptized. Praise the Lord!  At the same time, we had our thanksgiving celebration.  As I watched them being baptized by one of the Khmer pastors, I suddenly felt like I could look back and see how God has been causing that shell of fear to crack by each prayer, by each encouragement, by each step of faith and repentance.  To my surprise, I felt an emerging excitement - excitement about trusting God for my needs, excitement about mentoring these people in their spiritual lives so that they will grow in Him, and though questions and challenges remain, excitement about new strength to trust God with my life.  To God be the glory!

THANKFUL FOR UPCOMING PLANS

1.  To continue working in Kampong Cham ... to disciple these new believers, to meet Vietnamese and build relationships with them, and disciple them too.

2.  To have my home assignment in March 2010 (instead of October 2009) ... to prepare myself for another greater calling.  Please pray for me.

3.  To have a Student Center... as a tool of evangelism in Kampong Cham.

4.  To have two worship services... for the youth in the morning in Kampong Cham proper, and in the afternoon for the adults in Blang ( Village near Kampong Cham)

This ministry would not have been happening without your investment, and your faith that God will transform His world through the work that is done.  Thank you so much! Your prayer truly matters!

  In His grip,

   Helen
