Dear Friends and family,
Is
it another month already?
Amazing!
This past month we had children's camp for over a hundred children.
We had twenty-five staff, five of whom came from the Seattle Pacific
Conference. They are in the bottom
picture. You can see a tiny
Caleb in Yuko's arms in this crowd below. We
are by the gate. The camp was for
four days and was a glorious success. In
fact, maybe too successful, if that is possible.
Today as I went by the river to pick up children for Khmer school, one
stop near the bridge had no comers. Usually
I get the biggest draw from this group. I
don't know why. Hopefully it won't
be a pattern. We'll see tomorrow.
The children love Christian songs, and go home to their little village or
enclave singing. Sometimes
this can lead to a work being cut short.
Please keep the school for children in your prayers.
We are having a party tomorrow night for our local folks who helped at
camp, and for three young men who participated in a work-evangelism project for
six weeks this summer.
